Some important tips to write an effective Cover Letter

Keep your letter short and precise:

Your cover letter should not be more than one page long. A short cover letter will introduce you to the curiosity of the employer and hence the employer will be more inclined to go through your CV first.

Personalize the letter for each job position:

While applying for a job, include the name of the recipient and the name of the company in the cover letter. Do some research about the respective job opening and tailor your cover letter to exemplify your fitment with that position you are applying to.

Follow a standard structure:

The cover letter must be well-structured. A standard structure could consist of three paragraphs. The first paragraph should include details of the job opening like how you heard about the job, why you are suitable for the position and show that you have done your research before applying. The aim of this paragraph is to create a connection with the employer. The second paragraph should highlight your most relevant experiences and achievements. Finally in the third paragraph try to attract the employers attention by being complementing for his or her time and for the consideration.

High Readability:

Use clear English with simple vocabulary. There should be no spelling mistakes, grammatical and punctuation mistakes. Keep your sentences neat and clean and to the point.
